Experienced Asphalt Worker

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Asphalt Worker to join our crew on Hilton Head Island. This position involves performing a variety of tasks related to asphalt paving, maintenance, and repair. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented, physically demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and assist with asphalt paving equipment, including pavers, rollers, and skid steers
• Perform asphalt installation, patching, grading, and resurfacing
• Prepare job sites by cleaning, sweeping, and removing debris
• Shovel, rake, and level asphalt to proper grade and consistency
• Ensure proper compaction using rollers and tampers
• Follow project specifications, blueprints, and supervisor instructions
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
• Adhere to all safety standards and procedures at all times
• Assist with traffic control and job site setup as needed
• Work collaboratively with crew members to complete projects on schedule

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of asphalt or paving experience required
• Knowledge of asphalt paving techniques and materials
• Ability to operate paving equipment (required)
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work full scheduled hours
• Ability to perform physically demanding labor (lifting, bending, standing for long periods)
• Valid driver’s license (required)
• Reliable transportation to job sites
