You check part stock, place a small order, and swing a quick delivery to a nearby vendor. By afternoon, you’ve monitored team productivity, ensured quality benchmarks are on track, and tidied the workspace—because an organized shop is a safe, efficient shop. Before you leave, you confirm tomorrow’s schedule and close the loop with customers on status updates. Some days run long, and you’re ready for occasional overtime when needed.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome customers in a friendly, professional, and helpful way.
- Evaluate and record issues for commercial cleaning, restoration, and surface preparation equipment with accuracy.
- Convert diagnostics into clear, complete work orders for maintenance and repair.
- Proactively reach out to customers to discuss service needs and schedule work to keep the calendar full and efficient.
- Coordinate shop operations: manage workflow, keep communication flowing, drive employee efficiency, and handle paperwork.
- Track and achieve department goals for quality and productivity.
- Maintain and audit inventory; ensure correct parts are stocked and available.
- Deliver parts to local vendors when required.
- Keep the work area orderly, clean, and professional.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Exhibit reliability, punctuality, and professionalism throughout the day.
- Support additional tasks as assigned, including occasional overtime.
