Intern, Corporate Communications

Job Summary

The Corporate Communications team at Aquarion is looking for an Intern! This role offers hands-on experience in community outreach, brand messaging, and internal/external communications. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, detail-oriented, and passionate about making a positive impact.

Principal Responsibilities

• Provide general administrative support to the Communications team
• Assist with community event preparation and attend/support these events. Many of these events take place on weekends and we usually bring a water truck
• Coordinate internal communications efforts, such as employee announcements or newsletters
• Conduct research on community partnerships and communication trends
• Other office and customer service responsibilities as needed.
  
  

Preferred Requirements

• Outgoing personality - comfortable speaking with customers.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
• Ability to lift 25 lb. boxes.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Website editing and writing experience.
  
  

Education/Certifications

• Undergraduate student studying Communications/Marketing/Journalism a plus.
• The position requires an individual to hold and maintain a valid State of Connecticut license to operate a motor vehicle
  
  

Salary

• This is a temporary, non-benefit eligible, full-time position based out of our Main Street office (Bridgeport, CT).
• This position will run from mid-May through the end of August.
• Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30AM-5:00PM.
• Salary will be $17.50/hour
