Our client is seeking a Senior Controller to join their team. This is a full-time / permanent position with a direct client of Aprio.
Location: Gallatin, TN (100% on-site)
Role Title: Senior Controller
Compensation: $120,000–$150,000 base salary depending on experience, plus quarterly performance bonus potential.

What You’ll Own
- Oversee all accounting operations, including GL, monthly close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Manage cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting processes across multiple facilities
- Supervise and mentor a small accounting team (AP and AR)
- Develop and implement internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP
- Partner with leadership on financial planning, capital projects, and long-term budgeting
- Lead payroll, AP, and AR process improvements, including automation initiatives and new systems integration
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the COO and leadership team on financial insights, KPIs, and operational improvements
Must-Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA or CMA preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting or financial management experience, ideally within a private club, luxury resort, or high end hospitality setting
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting best practices
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to mentor staff and collaborate across departments
- Proven ability to manage full-cycle accounting and produce timely, accurate reports
- Comfort with technology-driven process improvements
- Ability to present to board / ownership groups
Nice to Have
- Exposure to automation tools (e.g., Automate for AP) or other systems integrations
- Experience with financial software such as ClubEssential, Jonas, or NorthStar (training available)
- Proficiency in ADP payroll
