Our client is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team. This is a full-time / permanent position with a direct client of Aprio.

Location: Woodbridge, VA (100% on-site - flexibility provided when needed)
Salary: $90 - $125k bonus (Based on experience)
**Will consider candidates on the higher end to review with the client. (The sweet spot is going to be around $100k but candidates at the top end of the range will absolutely be considered)

Summary:
This is a very hands-on Accounting Manager role. Given the small office environment this is a 1 person accounting team. You'll be in charge of AP, AR, payroll, month-end close, etc. This is to replace a long time employee who is transitioning. The company revenue is approx. $15M.

What You’ll Own
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations: AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, bank reconciliations
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes with timely, accurate financial reporting
- Prepare and support tax filings and year-end audits
- Manage job costing and project-related accounting functions
- Develop and maintain financial controls and processes
- Support office management, vendor management, and administrative coordination
- Partner with external accountants, auditors, and vendors
Must-Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a management/controller role
- Construction industry background required
- Proficiency in Timberline or Sage 300 (Strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of GAAP, job costing, and payroll processes
- Ability to thrive in a hands-on, family-oriented business environment
Compensation & Benefits
