The Financial Analyst II will own the budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and financial analysis for revenue, gross margin, rebates, and inventory across 40 branch locations. The analyst will serve as the subject matter expert partnering closely with the Senior Leaders, Controller, and branch leadership to produce accurate, timely financial results, financial analysis, budgets, and forecasts.
What You'll Do:
- Own the end-to-end budget and forecast process for sales, gross margin, and inventory at the branch level across all APR Supply locations.
- Perform data entry, analysis, and validation of budget and forecast files for assigned GL accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness within established timelines.
- Develop a deep understanding of how actuals flow through the assigned GL accounts and use that knowledge to build reliable forward-looking forecasts.
- Upload budget and forecast data into Eclipse ERP using the system’s built-in budget functionality; troubleshoot and resolve data integrity issues.
- Leverage Phocas or the Company’s data lake to generate cleaned-up budget-to-actual variance reports for management review.
- Analyze sales trends, margin performance, and inventory turns by branch, product category, and customer segment to inform budget assumptions.
- Collaborate with the CFO and the Controller on the allocation methodology for central office and distribution center costs to branch-level budgets.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly variance analyses comparing actuals to budget and forecast, providing clear explanations of significant deviations.
- Support month-end close activities related to revenue recognition, margin analysis, and inventory valuation as needed.
- Continuously improve the budget and forecast process through automation, better data sourcing, and streamlined workflows.
- Produce various management reporting including, but not limited to, segments , all In margin, inventory turns, Trailing 12 month reports, and dead stock
- Complete monthly and annual industry surveys

Required for Success:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- CPA or working towards a CPA is preferred
- Minimum 3 years experience with a medium to large scale company
- Proven success managing multi-site distribution operations for a company with $300M in annual revenue.
- Public accounting experience is preferred
Attributes Required for Success:
- Strong accounting and/or finance background
- Solid understanding of financial statements, chart of accounts structures, and cost allocation methodologies.
- Knowledge of GAAP, accounting principles, rules and practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote and Teams
- Expected to work independently, working under the general direction of the Controller
- Required maturity level and a high level of professionalism coupled with good interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong organizational and time management skills
