Shipping and Receiving Coordinator

An aerospace client is looking for a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to support our client’s Shipping/Receiving department.

Location: Goleta, CA 93117 (Onsite)

Position: Shipping and Receiving Coordinator

Pay Rate: $32.05/hr. on W2 (DOE)

Duration: 5 months or longer

Schedule: 1st shift (9/80A)

A Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to support our client’s Shipping/Receiving department. As a member, you will work in an exciting fast paced environment for a company that is on the cutting edge of the aerospace industry. This position will serve on-site at Goleta, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties, may work out of a central warehouse.
• Uses computer system for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting. Follows shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements. Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment.
• Unpacks and packs or unwraps and wrap items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc.
• Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications, logs receipt of items on system, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents.
• Reports materials shipped and bills of lading, posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations.

Basic Qualifications:

• US Citizen required
• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2-5 years’ experience in shipping/receiving
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to multi task and be detailed
• Demonstrated ability to use basic manual tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Forklift experience/certification

• Hazardous material certification/experience

• DOT and IATA certifications

• UPS/FED EX shipping experience

• Aerospace material shipping/receiving
