An aerospace client is looking for a Milling Machinist to support our internal CNC machine shop where you’ll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside other machinists, programmers and engineers to make our technologies a reality.
Location: Chandler, AZ 85286 (On-site)
Position: Milling Machinist
Pay Rate: $37.28/hr. on W2
Duration: 12 months or longer
Schedule: 1st Shift (9/80)

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate 3-axis CNC mills, 5-axis CNC mills and multi-axis CNC lathes.
- Cut stock materials in preparation for machining parts.
- Use calibrated, precision measuring tools to check part features throughout machining to ensure part quality.
- Provide feedback to CNC programmers to help improve machining processes.
- Create simple CNC programs using NX CAM
- Apply clean-as-you-go and 5S principles while performing work daily.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- High school diploma or GED
- 6 years machining experience.
- 4 or more years setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes.
- Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and address conflict in a constructive manner.
- 10 or more machining experience.
- 7 or more years setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes.
- 2 or more years programming CNC machines using CAM software
- Working with Mitsubishi controls on a DMG-Mori lathe.
- Working with Haas controls on Haas 3-axis and 5-axis mills.
- Familiarity with aerospace industry documentation, specifications and quality requirements.
