About the Role
We are seeking a professional, detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our growing medical team in the Athens/Madison area.
This is a fast-paced, patient-facing role ideal for candidates with prior experience in a medical office, urgent care, or primary care setting who are comfortable managing multiple responsibilities while delivering excellent patient service.
What You’ll Do
- Greet and check in patients with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Accurately enter and update patient information in EMR systems
- Verify insurance eligibility and collect copays
- Communicate wait times and keep patients informed
- Answer phones and route calls appropriately
- Coordinate referrals, including prior authorizations and documentation
- Contact patients with results or provider follow-up instructions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front office
- Support administrative tasks such as scanning and faxing
- Work closely with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
What We’re Looking For
- 1 year of medical office experience preferred (urgent care, primary care, or specialty clinic)
- Experience with insurance verification and EMR systems strongly preferred
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
Schedule
- Full-time position
- Clinic hours: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Weekend hours: Saturday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Sunday 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Weekend shifts are shared/rotational across staff
