Job Duties
- Spearhead the entire electrical design process, including testing, qualification, and integration for our spacecraft
- Drive avionics development from initial concept through to flight-ready systems and integration
- Manage the design and interfacing of avionics, encompassing requirements capture, component selection, analysis, and system-level trade-offs
- Prototype and validate flight computers, power systems, communications, and electronic systems
- Ensure system reliability through root cause and corrective action investigation, debugging, and documentation
- Conduct hardware-in-the-loop testing and develop testbeds for system validation
- Lead efforts to comply with relevant government and safety standards
- BS in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in developing space electronics and avionic systems
- Proven track record in architecting and qualifying avionics systems for spaceflight
- Familiarity with government and MIL-spec standards
- Hands-on experience in circuit design and using electronics test equipment
- Experience with Altium Designer or similar tools
- Proficient in troubleshooting electronics at both the board and system levels
- Background in a fast-paced startup environment or equivalent experience
- Strong engineering foundation with a first-principles approach to problem-solving
- Experience with Altium Designer or similar software is a plus
- Familiarity with relevant government and MIL-spec standards
