What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Electrical Engineer position at Approach Venture?
Senior Electrical Engineer – Lead Architecture for Next-Generation Aerospace Systems
Alameda, CA | On-site
Opportunity Summary
Join a seed-stage aerospace company developing a new class of launch and high-speed systems designed to reduce the cost and complexity of accessing space. The team is building hardware-first solutions that rely on advanced electrical, mechanical, and fluid systems working together in tightly integrated environments. This role is a senior-level position focused on owning electrical system architecture and product direction. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will define how electrical systems are designed, integrated, and scaled across the platform. You will play a key role in shaping product decisions, guiding design tradeoffs, and ensuring systems are built for performance, reliability, and manufacturability from the ground up.
About Us
We are an early-stage, venture-backed engineering team focused on developing scalable launch technologies through novel approaches to acceleration and system design. The company operates with a small, highly technical team working across disciplines to rapidly move from concept to real-world testing.
Job Duties
$150,000 - $200,000
