What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spring Co-Op - Nondestructive Inspection (NDI) - Multiple Locations position at Applied Technical Services LLC and Careers?
- Work with leaders and other NDI Technicians on general tasks related to the team.
- Opportunity to learn and apply the industry various inspection methods and gain hands on experience.
- Perform tasks as directed to prepare components or equipment for inspections.
- Work alongside certified technicians to help complete projects and learn activities.
- Interface with personnel to determine scope of work and work priorities to meet customer expectations.
- Help clean and organize equipment before, during, and at the completion of projects.
- Document on job training experience as assigned by management.
- Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by supervisors.
- Most work will be completed in an industrial environment including, but not limited to papermills, power generation, and manufacturing facilities.
- Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
- Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man-baskets, etc.
- Work in confined spaces which will require crawling, stooping, climbing, etc.
- Work in and around operating equipment and industrial environments.
- Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film developing chemicals, etc.
- Work shifts up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week and travel for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds.
- Gain hands-on experience in the NDI industry.
- Mentorship and coaching with industry leaders in real world settings.

- Ongoing training, both hands on and in classroom, and certifications available
- Tuition: The employee will be reimbursed for tuition and fees specifically associated with classes (i.e., lab fees) pertaining to his/her degree for the previous school term.
- Books: The employee will be reimbursed for books applicable to his/her degree and required by his/her courses for the previous school term.
- Payment Scale. Based on overall semester GPA, ATS will reimburse based on the following schedule:
- 3.0 100%
- 2.7 to 2.99 80%
- 2.5 to 2.69 60%
- < 2.5 0%
Requirements
- Must be a full-time student, ideally in a STEM field or similar other similar program.
- Strong interest in the NDI industry.
- Strong attention to detail and safety procedures.
- Able to travel throughout the United States.
