The Position:
The Compliance Manager leads the company’s U.S. regulatory compliance programs, ensuring full adherence to key frameworks such as ITAR, EAR, DFARS, and FAR. This role blends strategic oversight with hands-on execution, embedding compliance into operations, systems, and contracting processes. Acting as a trusted advisor, the Compliance Manager partners with leadership and cross-functional teams to uphold compliance standards, mitigate risks, and drive a culture of regulatory excellence.
This position will be based onsite either at our corporate office in Marietta, GA or Phoenix, AZ location.
Responsibilities:
Assess current operations to identify applicable federal regulations and update policies and
- Partner with Operations, Quality Assurance, Information Technology, and other functional teams to
- Advise Cyber Security team to ensure networks, data systems, and cybersecurity controls meet
- Monitor, assess, and report on compliance risks; implement corrective actions as needed
- Develop and deliver compliance training and communication to employees at all levels; track and
- Manage audits, assessments, and inquiries from government agencies or customers related to
- Advise senior leadership and General Counsel on emerging regulations, industry best practices,
- Support internal investigations and incident response efforts involving compliance or security
Required Experience and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; advanced
- Minimum 3 years serving as an ITAR Empowered Official or Corporate Administrator
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory affairs within a
- Strong working knowledge of ITAR, DFARS, and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
- Experience coordinating compliance activities with IT, cybersecurity, and quality assurance
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement compliance programs in complex, technical
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence organizational behavior
Additional requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer- Occasional light lifting (up to 10 lbs)
- Strong confidentiality and ability to handle sensitive documents securely
- Clearance not required initially, but candidate must be eligible to obtain clearance if necessary
Work Conditions:
Office-based in Marietta, GA or Phoenix, AZ- Travel: Rare, less than 20%, may be required depending on work location and project needs
