Job Summary:
The Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing the company’s U.S. regulatory compliance
programs and initiatives. This includes ensuring adherence to International Traffic in Arms Regulations
(ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement
(DFARS), and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). The role combines strategic leadership with handson execution, partnering across departments to embed compliance into operations, systems, and
contracting processes. The Compliance Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and
functional teams, ensuring compliance standards are met and risks are mitigated.
Responsibilities:
• Assess current operations to identify applicable federal regulations and update policies and
procedures to ensure compliance.
• Partner with Operations, Quality Assurance, Information Technology, and other functional teams to
provide compliance guidance.
• Advise Cyber Security team to ensure networks, data systems, and cybersecurity controls meet
federal standards and certification requirements.
• Monitor, assess, and report on compliance risks; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Develop and deliver compliance training and communication to employees at all levels; track and
monitor completion.
• Manage audits, assessments, and inquiries from government agencies or customers related to
compliance or security matters.
• Advise senior leadership and General Counsel on emerging regulations, industry best practices,
and risk mitigation strategies.
• Support internal investigations and incident response efforts involving compliance or security
issues.
Qualifications
Required Experience and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; advanced
degree or professional certification (e.g., CCEP) preferred.
• Minimum 3 years serving as an ITAR Empowered Official or Corporate Administrator.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory affairs within a
technical or regulated environment.
• Strong working knowledge of ITAR, DFARS, and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
requirements.
• Experience coordinating compliance activities with IT, cybersecurity, and quality assurance
functions.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement compliance programs in complex, technical
organizations.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence organizational behavior
Additional requirements:
• Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer.
• Occasional light lifting (up to 10 lbs).
• Strong confidentiality and ability to handle sensitive documents securely.
• Clearance not required initially, but candidate must be eligible to obtain clearance if necessary.
Work Conditions:
• Office-based in Marietta, GA or Phoenix, AZ.
• Travel: Rare, less than 20%, may be required depending on work location and project needs.
