Principal IT Architect – CPQ (Quote-to-Cash)

Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)

Overview

We are seeking a senior-level IT Architect with deep expertise in Configure, Price & Quote (CPQ) and Quote-to-Cash processes. This individual will play a key role in aligning business objectives with scalable technology solutions, driving architecture strategy, and leading complex CPQ initiatives across enterprise systems.

This role requires a blend of technical leadership, hands-on solution design, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver integrated, high-impact solutions across sales and operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to design and deliver scalable CPQ solutions aligned to Quote-to-Cash processes
• Define and drive CPQ architecture strategy, standards, and best practices across the organization
• Lead design and integration efforts across SAP CPQ and other CPQ platforms, including CRM and ERP ecosystems
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure high-quality, scalable implementations
• Optimize CPQ capabilities including pricing logic, product configuration, workflows, and automation
• Oversee end-to-end solution delivery including design, development, testing, deployment, and post-release support
• Ensure system integrity through testing, audits, and governance practices
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies (planning, standups, retrospectives) and provide guidance on delivery timelines
• Review and approve technical configurations and deployments across environments
• Develop technical documentation, architecture artifacts, and provide guidance/training to cross-functional teams

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 12 years of overall IT experience, including architecture and enterprise solution design
• 8 years of experience implementing CPQ solutions within complex environments
• Strong experience with Quote-to-Cash processes and enterprise system integrations
• Proven expertise with SAP CPQ and its integration into broader enterprise landscapes
• Experience integrating CPQ with CRM and ERP platforms
• Experience with APIs (REST/SOAP), middleware, and modern integration patterns
• Familiarity with enterprise security concepts (SSO, OAuth, SAML, data protection)
• Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale, cross-functional initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multiple CPQ platforms (e.g., SAP CPQ, Salesforce CPQ, or similar tools)
• Exposure to ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent
• Background in Master Data Management (MDM)
• Relevant certifications in CPQ, SAP ecosystem, CRM, or enterprise platforms
