Sr. SAP Business One (B1) & SQL Administrator

This is an operational, admin-first role to own and stabilize an on-prem / hosted SAP Business One environment and its reporting backbone. This is
not
a heavy development job; it's hands-on admin SQL/reporting with a willingness to cross-train where needed.
Core Responsibilities
SAP B1 Administration (30–50%)
- Day-to-day SAP B1 admin: user provisioning, roles/permissions, MFA, basic configuration, and routine troubleshooting.
- Validate and navigate core business flows (sales orders, deliveries, invoices, inventory, purchasing) to resolve data/process issues.
- Coordinate with external SAP partners for major upgrades/customizations; perform basic change validation and unit testing.
- Create and maintain admin documentation and runbooks.
SQL & Reporting (30–40%)
- Author, modify, and optimize MS SQL Server queries, views, and stored procedures to support ERP operations and reporting.
- Build and maintain Crystal Reports (or equivalent) for finance and operations; diagnose and improve report performance.
- Perform routine database maintenance (backups, sanity checks) and collaborate with infrastructure partners on tuning.
Cross-Training & Operational Support (10–20%)
- Validate ERP data for third-party integrations (eCommerce/CRM) when issues arise — you won't own those platforms.
- Provide desktop/ops support in office/manufacturing settings as required; pitch in on small IT projects.
- Occasional after-hours support during critical go-lives or manufacturing issues.
What this role does NOT own
- Ownership of web storefronts or CRM platforms.
- Primary responsibility for network engineering, firewall administration, or full-stack development.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Hands-on SAP Business One administration experience (user/security, menu/navigation, troubleshooting).
- Strong MS SQL Server skills (queries, stored procedures, views) applied to ERP reporting.
- Experience building/maintaining Crystal Reports or similar reporting tools.
- Comfortable demonstrating core SAP B1 processes in an interview (walk-throughs, data lookups).
- Willingness to cross-train and handle non-SAP operational tasks.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred (nice-to-have)
- Manufacturing/distribution ERP exposure.
- Experience in troubleshooting ERP. eCommerce/CRM integrations.
- Basic scripting (PowerShell, Python) for admin automation.
- Office 365 admin familiarity.
Logistics & Interview Flow
- Hybrid work: majority on-site presence required; occasional travel to satellite sites may be necessary.
- Typical interview flow: HR screen? Hiring manager technical interview? finance/leadership interview. Practical, conversational assessments focused on live demonstrations and scenario troubleshooting.
Salary : $80,000 - $120,000
