What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine operator - CNC position at Applied Industrial Technologies?
Objective: Operate CNC Machine
Expectations
* Load parts on machine according to standard work instructions
o Use best practice and standard operating procedure (SOP) as trained
o Standard machine pallet changes as necessary
o Communicate with supervisor if any direction is unclear
* Inspect parts according to standard work instructions
o Use in process inspection methods to verify non-conforming material
* Stop machine and notify supervisor when non-conforming material is detected. Tag material with defect description
* Sort and contain all additional non-conforming material according to SOP
o Work with peers as directed by supervisor
* Deburr parts according to standard work instructions
o Produce desired results and visually inspect for abnormal conditions
* Work in a team environment to achieve production goals
o Run / clean multiple machines as directed
o Work with peers as directed by supervisor to achieve all production goals stated above

* Maintain cleanliness of all machines, tools, fixtures and general work area according to standards
* Immediately communicate abnormal conditions to supervisor

Expectations
* Immediately communicate with your supervisor and receive additional work instructions when all assigned work has been completed. If supervisor is unavailable, continue with cleaning duties until further notified
* Communicate effectively and with respect to all personnel both internal and external ex. Suppliers, customers and peers
* Communicate with your supervisor routinely to discuss critical events, associate issues, and to obtain information and direction
