Accounting Manager - Manufacturing

Schedule: Monday-Friday | Flexible start time between 7:00 AM-9:00 AM

Our client, a stable and growing manufacturing organization in the Orlando area, is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, lead a developing team, and ensure accurate financial reporting across multiple entities.

What You'll Do
- Manage the daily operations of the accounting department.
- Supervise and develop a team of 3-5 accounting professionals, with expected team growth.
- Oversee the general ledger and ensure accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements for multiple entities in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Evaluate and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and departmental procedures.
- Lead external financial audits, including audit preparation and coordination.
- Oversee payroll, treasury, and insurance accounting activities.
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports for leadership, lenders, auditors, and other stakeholders.
- Partner with operational leaders to support business decisions and financial initiatives.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop accounting staff.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience.
- At least 3 years of accounting leadership or supervisory experience.
- Background in manufacturing highly preferred; warehouse/supply chain backgrounds also considered.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and U.S. GAAP.
- Experience leading month-end and year-end close.
- ERP experience such as Infor Syteline, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or similar systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- CPA is not required.
Salary : $135,000 - $140,000
