Position Overview
The Title Processor is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and processing real estate title documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable regulations. This role plays a key part in supporting smooth and timely real estate closings by coordinating with all parties involved to resolve title issues and facilitate the issuance of title insurance policies.
Key Responsibilities
Examine and verify title documents, including deeds, mortgages, liens, tax records, and legal descriptions
Prepare title commitments and related documentation in accordance with underwriting standards
Identify and resolve title issues such as clouds on title, discrepancies, outstanding liens, and missing information
Coordinate with lenders, real estate agents, buyers, sellers, and attorneys to gather required documentation and ensure file accuracy
Order and track payoffs, surveys, HOA estoppels, tax certificates, and other items needed for closing
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing real estate transactions
Maintain accurate, complete, and organized transaction files
Assist in preparing closing packages and final title policies as needed
Provide excellent customer service by keeping all parties informed of file status and requirements
Qualifications
Experience in title processing, escrow, real estate, or a related field preferred
Strong understanding of title documents, title insurance, and real estate terminology
Familiarity with title production software (e.g., ResWare, RamQuest, SoftPro) is a plus
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple files in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong communication and customer service abilities
High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and accuracy
