The Continuous Improvement Analyst is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and implementing process improvements across manufacturing operations within a metal production environment. This role focuses on increasing efficiency, reducing waste, improving product quality, and supporting a culture of operational excellence through data-driven decision-making and lean manufacturing principles.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement
Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen
Collect, interpret, and present production data to drive informed decision-making
Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to implement process enhancements
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
Facilitate root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions
Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, quality, safety, and cost
Support value stream mapping and workflow optimization efforts
Assist in training employees on continuous improvement tools and best practices
Participate in audits and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
Experience:
2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in metal fabrication, machining, or heavy industry
Hands-on experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab, or similar)
Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as welding, stamping, machining, or casting is preferred
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Certifications (Preferred):
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
