What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior HR Specialist position at AppleOne Employment Services?
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a point of contact for employee questions on HR policies, benefits, and procedures
Assist in full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding processes
Support employee relations by addressing concerns, conducting investigations, and ensuring positive workplace dynamics
Administer benefits and leave programs, partnering with vendors as needed
Maintain HRIS records and ensure accuracy of employee data
Support performance management and employee development initiatives
Ensure HR compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
Assist with policy updates, handbook revisions, and internal communications
Participate in special HR projects as needed
Qualifications:
Solid knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and compliance
Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., BambooHR, ADP, Workday)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
Organized, adaptable, and a natural problem solver
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Preferred:
PHR or SHRM-CP certification
Bilingual a plus!
