Estate & Trust Paralegal

Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with legal professionals to prepare a variety of estate planning documents such as wills, trust agreements, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives.
- Assist with the administration of estates and trusts by gathering financial details, organizing asset information, coordinating valuations, and supporting the transfer and distribution process.
- Draft and submit required court filings related to probate and estate matters, including petitions, inventories, and accountings, for both routine and contested cases.
- Perform research on topics related to estate law, trust administration, and applicable tax matters; compile summaries and supporting documentation for review.
- Serve as a point of contact for clients and external parties (financial institutions, advisors, and other stakeholders) to collect information and provide updates.
- Support the preparation of financial reports for estates and trusts, monitor transactions, assist with bill payments, and help coordinate tax-related documentation.
- Maintain organized records, manage deadlines, and track multiple matters simultaneously to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience supporting estate planning and/or trust and estate administration required; formal paralegal training or equivalent experience preferred.
- Exposure to probate processes and court-related filings is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of handling multiple priorities and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with standard office software (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with document or case management systems is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with internal teams and external contacts.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to take initiative while working independently.
Salary : $80,000 - $95,000
