Tremba, Kinney, Greiner & Kerr is seeking to fill an immediate full-time position for Paralegal to assist with case planning, development, and management, legal research, client interviews, gathering facts and retrieving information, legal writing, analyzing legal documents, collecting, compiling, and utilizing technical information.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare legal documents, including discovery, motions, petitions, orders
- Locating witnesses, arrange interviews, draft pretrial statements, witness preparation
- Compile and organize trial notebooks, exhibits
- Analyze records
- Legal Research
-Deposition summaries
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Basic principles of legal proceedings and legal research
- Working knowledge of State Bar Law, Rules of Conduct and procedures
- Knowledge of Attorney/Client relationships
- Problem identification, analysis and evaluation
- Effective writing and verbal presentations
- Perform support calculations
- Computerized database record keeping
- Computerized legal research system(s)
- Transcription
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette
Qualifications:
- Certification or Associate's Degree in paralegal studies
- Minimum of 2 years of experience
- Investigative mind, strong research skills
- Working knowledge of legal database software
- Excellent organization, communication and time management skills
- Attention to detail with strong proofreading abilities
