Location: Shreveport, LA – North Market Area
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Pay: $35 per hour (based on experience)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team in Shreveport. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision craftsmanship and enjoys working with traditional machine tools. You’ll be responsible for producing high-quality metal parts using manual lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate manual machining equipment (lathe, mill, grinder, drill press).
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
Perform threading, boring, turning, and other machining operations.
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, safe work environment.
Troubleshoot and adjust setups to ensure accuracy and quality.
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 Years Of Experience As a Manual Machinist.
Strong understanding of machining techniques and metal properties.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
Skilled in using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
