Join a challenging, fast-paced, and collaborative environment working on one of the largest Information Technology projects for a major government healthcare system. This critical role is centered on leading project efforts related to the replacement of a current legacy Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS).
We are seeking a highly motivated, self-starter Project Manager to be an integral part of a Best Practice Project Management Team. This is an individual contributor position reporting to the IT Services Deputy Director.
Key Responsibilities (Daily Duties)
- Manage and coordinate all tasks associated with one or more small-to-large projects, or a major component of a larger project.
- Direct the initiation, planning, execution, control, and closeout phases of the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Follow established Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Develop and manage work plan(s) and maintain project roadmap(s).
- Control scope and schedule to ensure project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks are completed as planned and on time.
- Identify potential problems and facilitate problem resolution by recommending and implementing a risk mitigation strategy.
- Work within the structure of Change Management and Release Management to coordinate implementations to the Medicaid System.
- Prepare status reports and provide updates to project stakeholders, sponsors, and champions.
- Oversee the development and execution of the communication plan.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 6-12 years of project management experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Project Web App, and Microsoft Teams
- Strong Analytical, Conceptual, and Problem-Solving Skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Healthcare Claims Processing.
- Experience with Process Development and Management.
- Knowledge of Incident and Change Management.
- Experience working with Mainframe systems.
- Knowledge and experience with designing and developing project related dashboards.
Salary : $65 - $75
