We are seeking an experienced Commercial Glass & Glazing Estimator to join a dynamic team in Livermore, CA. This role is critical for preparing accurate bids and cost estimates for commercial glazing projects, including curtainwall, storefront, windows, and door systems.
Responsibilities:
Review architectural drawings and specifications to determine scope.
Perform detailed quantity take-offs for glass, aluminum, and related materials.
Prepare complete cost estimates (materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors).
Solicit and evaluate supplier quotes; conduct bid-leveling.
Identify value engineering opportunities and potential risks.
Submit professional bid proposals under strict deadlines.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients.
Qualifications:
5 years of commercial glass & glazing estimating experience (curtainwall, storefront, windows, doors).
Proficiency with Bluebeam and/or On-Screen Takeoff (OST).
Strong understanding of bidding workflow, VE practices, and risk identification.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
On-site availability in Livermore, CA.
