Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Fire & Security Project Manager to oversee installation projects involving fire alarm, security, CCTV, and access control systems. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to work independently while coordinating across multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities
Manage project administration for fire alarm, security, CCTV, card access, and specialty system installations
Coordinate with management, engineering, and field teams to ensure successful project execution
Ensure proper documentation of contracts, site visits, communications, RFIs, permits, and project closeout
Oversee compliance with safety programs and regulations across all job sites
Monitor and manage manpower backlog reports to optimize workforce planning and profitability
Implement and track project change orders to support gross profit objectives
Participate in cross-functional meetings to review project progress and address challenges
Support construction scheduling to ensure timely installation and final system certification
Maintain and update project logs including timelines, labor hours, and system details
Assist with estimating and proposal development for new and existing clients
Qualifications
Experience in fire alarm/security industry and project management required
Background in construction or related field strongly preferred
Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of fire alarm systems and inspections
Familiarity with local and national fire codes and regulations
Proficiency in Microsoft Project (or similar), Word, and Excel
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision
Ability to read and interpret technical documents in English
Preferred Certifications (a plus):
NICET
PMP
EST3
State Certifications
Regulation No. 4
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Capable of bending, stooping, kneeling, and performing physical tasks typical of construction environments
Additional Requirements
High School Diploma or Associate’s Degree required
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Must pass background check and drug screening
Willingness to work flexible hours to meet project deadlines
