Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Supervisor to lead a team of claims advisors who provide in-person support to customers affected by wildfires. This role focuses on guiding staff, ensuring compassionate service, and maintaining efficient claims intake during a high-volume period.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of in-person claims advisors at the support center
Ensure customers receive accurate, timely, and empathetic assistance
Monitor team performance and compliance with claims procedures
Coach staff, provide real-time support, and handle conflict resolution
Escalate complex or sensitive issues as needed
Work with leadership to meet service and performance goals
Track and document team activities, customer feedback, and metrics
Ensure compliance with safety, privacy, and company policies
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 2 years of supervisory experience in customer service
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to lead teams in high-stress or crisis situations
Experience working with vulnerable populations or emergency response
Basic computer skills (CRM systems, document tools)
Background in utilities, insurance claims, or healthcare preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual (Spanish or other languages)
Experience with trauma-informed customer service
