Responsibilities:
- Analyze community association legal issues and draft legal opinions
- Interpret and draft amendments to governing documents
- Enforce governing documents through litigation and dispute resolution
- Prepare for and attend board and membership meetings
- Maintain strong client relations and provide strategic legal counsel
- Conduct detailed case law and legal research
- Prepare and draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and memoranda of law
- Review and modify service contracts and vendor agreements
- Participate in and prepare for depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
- Review documents using electronic review platforms and document management systems
- Active membership in the Florida Bar
- 2–4 years of legal experience, with direct experience in community association litigation preferred
- Demonstrated experience in business litigation
- Excellent skills in legal research, drafting, and oral advocacy
- Strong client relations and communication skills
- Proficiency in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint; experience with Summation and iManage is a plus
- Experience conducting significant document review via electronic platforms
- Familiarity with community association governance structures
- Attendance at association board and membership meetings
- Experience interpreting and enforcing declarations, bylaws, and covenants
