Manager note - All of these individuals seem to be more experienced than what we are looking for and I am afraid with the menial data driven tasks this position would preform all would be under utilized. What we are looking for is Admin level with extensive Data manipulation (Excell) with some experience or knowledge of US Imports.
ACTUAL JOB TITLE -
Import & Freight Administrator
Requisition Details
Work hours: Mon – Fri / 8 hours a day (8AM to 4:30PM including 30 min break), there could some flexibility in the start time (could be 7am), it will confirmed by the HM later
Temp only or Temp to perm: Temp, could be perm
Start date: ASAP
Length of assignment: 6 months with potential extensions
Location- Remote or Onsite: fully on site the first 2 to 4 weeks for training, then hybrid with 3 days at the office and 2 days remote.
Specific Skills Needed: knowledge of US Import regulations and international freight management, Advanced Excel skills, Excellent analytical skills.
Years of Experience: 3 to 5 years in US import & logistics
• Reviews Duty Invoices for accuracy and approves for payment
• Provides detail entry summary to third party brokerage firm for computed value
• reconciliation process
• Provides detail entry summary monthly to Finance for duty cross charging to corporate
• headquarters
• Coordinates year end deliveries to meet working capital objectives of parent company and
• Transitions business
• Provides documentation as required by auditors quarterly
• Acts as backup for team roles
Compliance
• Adheres to regulatory requirements for Entry documentation and electronic retention
• Ensures supplying facilities adhere to US Customs requirement as documented in the CTPAT program
• Ensures accuracy and completeness of ACE portal (US Customs software)
• Coordinates with parent company on scope of compliance activity performed on Transitions' behalf
Key Requirements (Education and Experience)
• 3-5 years of experience in US import & logistics
• Excellent Analytical skills
• Excellent Attention to detail
• Advanced Excel skills, proficiency in all Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of international freight management
• Knowledge of US Import regulations
• Ability to handle multiple projects, set priorities and drive results in a fast paced, changing environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Salary : $31
