ACTUAL JOB TITLE -
Import & Freight Administrator
Requisition Details
Work hours: Mon – Fri / 8 hours a day (8AM to 4:30PM including 30 min break), there could some flexibility in the start time (could be 7am), it will confirmed by the HM later
Temp only or Temp to perm: Temp, could be perm
Start date: ASAP
Length of assignment: 6 months with potential extensions
Location- Remote or Onsite: fully on site the first 2 to 4 weeks for training, then hybrid with 3 days at the office and 2 days remote.
Specific Skills Needed: knowledge of US Import regulations and international freight management, Advanced Excel skills, Excellent analytical skills.
Years of Experience: 3 to 5 years in US import & logistics

- Reviews Duty Invoices for accuracy and approves for payment
- Provides detail entry summary to third party brokerage firm for computed value
- reconciliation process
- Provides detail entry summary monthly to Finance for duty cross charging to corporate
- headquarters
- Coordinates year end deliveries to meet working capital objectives of parent company and
- Transitions business
- Provides documentation as required by auditors quarterly
- Acts as backup for team roles
- Adheres to regulatory requirements for Entry documentation and electronic retention
- Ensures supplying facilities adhere to US Customs requirement as documented in the CTPAT program
- Ensures accuracy and completeness of ACE portal (US Customs software)
- Coordinates with parent company on scope of compliance activity performed on Transitions' behalf
- 3-5 years of experience in US import & logistics
- Excellent Analytical skills
- Excellent Attention to detail
- Advanced Excel skills, proficiency in all Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of international freight management
- Knowledge of US Import regulations
- Ability to handle multiple projects, set priorities and drive results in a fast paced, changing environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
