Director of Supply Chain

Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a Director of Supply Chain in the Atlanta Area

Compensation: $185,000 – $200,000 Bonus

The Director of Supply Chain serves as the primary architect of our end-to-end value chain. You will oversee the strategic sourcing, movement, and compliance of all critical components—from modules and inverters to transformers—required to build and operate our community solar portfolio.

Beyond moving freight, you are a guardian of project bankability. You will lead the charge in navigating complex U.S. trade and tax landscapes, ensuring our assets are protected through rigorous Safe Harbor execution and FEOC compliance.

Core Pillars of Responsibility

1. Strategic Procurement & Partnerships

• Source & Negotiate: Lead the selection and contracting of Tier-1 suppliers for major solar components (modules, racking, inverters).
• MSA Management: Negotiate high-value Master Supply Agreements (MSAs) that balance commercial terms, warranties, and payment schedules with project financing needs.
• Category Management: Develop long-term strategies for "long-lead" equipment to insulate the company from market volatility and supply crunches.

2. Regulatory Compliance & Risk Mitigation

• Safe Harbor Oversight: Design and execute the Safe Harbor strategy, including procurement timing, storage logistics, and meticulous audit-ready documentation.
• Trade & Tax Policy: Act as the internal expert on FEOC, IRA domestic content, and UFLPA regulations to protect tax equity and project bankability.
• Traceability: Establish robust supplier vetting and origin-tracing processes to ensure compliance with shifting geopolitical and trade regulations.

3. Logistics & Execution Excellence

• End-to-End Visibility: Own the international and domestic logistics strategy, from port-to-warehouse to last-mile delivery at project sites.
• Inventory Control: Manage inventory exposure and shipment reliability across multiple concurrent project schedules.
• Scale: Build the internal systems and workflows needed to transition from a project-by-project approach to a high-volume, repeatable portfolio model.

4. Cross-Functional Leadership

• Mentorship: Lead and develop the Logistics and Procurement managers, fostering a culture of accountability and precision.
• Stakeholder Alignment: Serve as the bridge between Engineering (specifications), Finance (cost control), and Construction (site readiness).

The Ideal Profile

• Renewable Energy Veteran: You have 8–12 years in supply chain, with significant time spent in solar, EPC, or large-scale infrastructure.
• Regulatory Fluent: You don't just know the acronyms (IRA, FEOC, ITC); you understand how they impact the bottom line and project financing.
• Master Negotiator: You have a track record of securing favorable terms with global manufacturers in high-demand environments.
• Analytical Mindset: You can distill complex supply chain risks into executive-level dashboards and actionable mitigation plans.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree required (Sourcing, Engineering, or Business); MBA or certifications (CSCP/CPSM) are highly valued.

What Success Looks Like: First 12 Months

1. Risk Audit: Complete a comprehensive assessment of current suppliers and Safe Harbor exposure.
2. Process Standardization: Establish a formal "Supply Chain Playbook" for procurement and logistics workflows.
3. Risk Register: Implement a dynamic risk register tracking FEOC exposure and geopolitical supply threats.
4. Partner Framework: Roll out a preferred supplier program with standardized performance scorecards.
