Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Director of Supply Chain Finance, based in Atlanta, GA. The Director of Supply Chain Finance will lead the financial planning and analysis function, taking ownership of cost of goods sold/market basket reporting/forecasting, validate and track savings initiatives, and partner with the Chief Financial Officer on all other SMS related finance needs. This role requires a strategic leader with the ability to design/implement processes as well as ensure the ongoing accuracy and integrity of data. This newly created role will work closely with SMS leadership and Popeyes brand leadership. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of finance experience with at least three of those years associated with supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the supply chain finance function, including responsibility for FP&A and COGS/market basket reporting and forecasting.
- Develop financial reporting and COGS forecasting tools and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams within SMS and Popeyes including procurement, marketing, operations, and Popeyes finance, to align SMS finance analysis/reporting with overall business objectives.
- Work with the CFO on various SMS finance functions, projects, compliance initiatives, and other finance duties as assigned.
- Partner with procurement to identify, evaluate, and measure cost savings initiatives.
- Audit and validate saving initiatives results achieved.
- Prepare and present detailed reports for SMS leadership, Popeyes leadership, and the SMS Board of Directors.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of SMS data.
- Other duties as may be determined.
- Travel of ~10% may be required.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Supply Chain Finance and Financial Planning, with a focus on optimizing supply chain costs and operations.
- Strong skills in Cost Accounting and Business Planning to ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting processes.
- Proficiency in Finance principles, including financial reporting, analysis, and compliance.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years working with supply chain.
- Experience in/around the food service industry preferred.
- Proven track record of developing/managing a COGS reporting/forecasting process.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. The ability to influence without a direct reporting relationship is key.
- Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in finance software and tools including Power BI.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or supply chain management required with MBA preferred.
