We are searching for a Shipping Clerk for our Racine location.

What You Will Do:
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for ensuring that all outgoing shipments of products, materials, and supplies are in order. This individual works with carriers, customers, and internal partners to help maintain delivery paperwork, invoicing, and discrepancies are handled quickly and efficiently.
- Work with customers, carriers, and internal parties to quote and schedule shipments for national and international customers.
- Track, trace, and update the status of outgoing shipments and provide necessary communication and documentation to customer.
- Collaborate with customer service, carriers, and others involved in the shipment of products to resolve any discrepancies or delays.
- File and maintain claims for loss and damage.
- Maintain an accurate account of daily moves, inventory, and skid counts to communicate as needed.
- See that all invoices are reviewed for accuracy and filed appropriately.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and organized work area and filing system.
- Order and maintain shipping supplies and labels as needed.
- Engage with customers, vendors, and drivers with a professional and positive attitude.
- Provide additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments and other additional duties as assigned.
- Track key metrics for shipping department.
What You Bring:
- High school diploma
- ERP System experience (i.e., SAP, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, PLEX)
- At least two years of previous warehouse experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to anticipate problems and meet deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Forklift certification and truck driving experience preferred.
- Solution focused and process improvement driven.
- Proven ability to develop relationships with internal partners.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Lean / Continuous Improvement experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing:
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8–12 hours per shift).
- Walking:
- Frequent walking throughout the production floor.
- Lifting and Carrying:
- Regularly lift and carry up to 25–50 pounds.
- Occasionally lift heavier items (up to 75 pounds) with assistance or equipment.
- Pushing and Pulling:
- Use of manual or mechanical means to push/pull carts, equipment, or materials.
- Repetitive Motions:
- Frequent use of hands and wrists for repetitive tasks (e.g., assembling, sorting, packaging).
- Manual Dexterity:
- Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to handle small parts or tools.
- Climbing:
- Occasional use of ladders or steps to reach equipment or storage areas.
- Visual and Hearing Requirements:
- Sufficient vision (with or without correction) to read labels, safety signs, and equipment gauges.
- Adequate hearing (with or without aids) to respond to alarms and verbal instructions in a noisy environment.
- Environmental Tolerance:
- Ability to work in varying temperatures (hot, cold, or humid conditions).
- Exposure to noise, dust, odors, and manufacturing chemicals.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
