Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Shipping Operations
- Prepare, verify, and maintain all shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping labels.
- Process shipping orders accurately and timely within company systems.
- Prepare products for shipment by covering, wrapping, banding, skidding, or otherwise securing materials as required.
- Load outbound shipments onto semis, box trucks, and trailers using proper material handling techniques.
- Transfer products between offsite warehouse locations within the company computer system as required.
- Stage finished goods and components for shipment in accordance with shipping schedules.
- Maintain accurate and organized shipping records and files.
- Ensure all shipping transactions are completed correctly in the ERP system.
- Prepare shipping-related reports and documentation as requested by company personnel.
- Communicate shipment status, delays, or discrepancies to appropriate internal stakeholders.
- Work closely with Production, Inventory Control, and Receiving to ensure timely shipment of products.
- Assist truck drivers and freight carriers with loading, unloading, and required paperwork.
- Maintain professional communication with customers, carriers, and internal departments.
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as required.
- Maintain current certification on material handling equipment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures and report hazards promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Shipping & Receiving Manager or senior management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and respond effectively to changing shipment priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Previous experience in a shipping, receiving, or logistics clerical role preferred.
- Experience working with shipping documentation and ERP systems preferred.
- Demonstrate accuracy and timeliness in all shipping documentation and transactions.
- Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach with internal and external stakeholders.
- Exhibit flexibility and adaptability to shifting priorities and workload demands.
