What You’ll Do
This is a hands-on leadership role, not an office position.
You Will:
- Lead and mentor the surgical nursing team
- Coordinate surgical workflow and case flow
- Serve as the anesthesia expert for complex surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during procedures and recovery
- Train technicians in anesthesia monitoring, sterile technique, and surgical nursing
- Maintain high standards for patient safety and surgical protocols
- Help improve surgical systems, workflows, and training as the department grows
Required
Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT / RVT / CVT)
3–5 years experience in:
- Veterinary surgery
- Anesthesia
- Specialty or emergency practice
- Anesthesia monitoring and anesthetic planning
- Mentoring or training technicians
- Clinical decision-making during complex cases
- Communication and teamwork
- VTS (Anesthesia, Surgery, or ECC) or pursuing
- Experience with advanced imaging (CT, MRI, fluoroscopy)
- Interest in teaching and developing clinical systems
