In this contingent assignment, the Specialty Software Engineer will participate in moderately complex Specialty Software Engineering initiatives and contribute to broader planning related to engineering deliverables. The role requires reviewing and analyzing specialty engineering challenges, resolving moderately complex technical issues, and collaborating with client personnel. The engineer will apply knowledge of organizational standards, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements while supporting business users and internal teams.

- 4 years of Specialty Software Engineering experience (or equivalent through work, consulting, training, military, or education).
- Experience supporting BI tools such as SAS, PowerBI, Tableau, and MicroStrategy.
- Ability to perform L1 support functions, including ticket logging, basic troubleshooting, and customer communication.
- Familiarity with escalation workflows (L1 → L2).
- Experience working in environments with structured knowledge bases.
- Prior experience with BICC or similar analytics support teams.

- Receive and log support tickets via phone, email, and ticketing systems.
- Perform basic troubleshooting, including password resets, software installs, and configuration support.
- Use the knowledge base to diagnose and resolve standard issues efficiently.
- Escalate cases to L2 when issues exceed L1 support scope.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with users, ensuring transparency and customer satisfaction.
- Provide support for BI tools, including SAS, PowerBI, Tableau, and MicroStrategy.
- Collaborate with Specialty Software Engineering teams as needed to meet deliverables.
