Agile Product Owner
Location: Chicago, Illinois (Partial Remote)
Employment Type: Contract
Role Overview
We are seeking a Product Owner for a contract role lasting six months or more. The position is remote but requires availability during Central and Eastern time zones. The successful candidate will join a team responsible for the ground-up development of a new U.S. collections system for a major financial services organization.
Key Responsibilities
Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in a Product Owner, Product Management, or senior Agile delivery role is required. Candidates must have demonstrated experience managing Agile/Scrum projects within enterprise-level environments. Experience working with large populations of frontline users is also necessary.
Technical Skills: Expertise in backlog management and user story writing is essential for this role.
Preferred Qualifications
The anticipated pay rate for this position is between $55.00 and $65.00 per hour. Please note that the final pay rate will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and location. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

- Operate within a true Scrum framework, including two-week sprints.
- Utilize Jira for managing the product backlog and sprints.
- Leverage refinement tools, such as Ignite, to enhance the quality of user stories.
- Participate in Scrum of Scrums meetings to ensure visibility and management of dependencies.
- Write and maintain high-quality user stories and manage the product backlog.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage dependencies in a multi-team environment.
Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in a Product Owner, Product Management, or senior Agile delivery role is required.
