Position Overview:
EOHHS is seeking an MMIS SQA Analyst to join the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) team. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting large‑scale integration projects and a strong understanding of Medicaid and/or health insurance business processes. This role is responsible for overseeing quality assurance activities across MMIS releases, including functional testing, smoke testing, and performance testing.
The MMIS SQA Analyst will actively contribute to MMIS initiatives, help advance QA standards, and support improvements to the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Candidates with prior MMIS or Medicaid system experience are strongly preferred.
The Analyst will participate in all phases of the project lifecycle including gap analysis, design, test case development, test execution (manual and automated), documentation, implementation, and stabilization. This role requires strong collaboration with both technical and business teams, as well as excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills. Additional responsibilities include guiding team members, supporting the Test Manager, analyzing requirements, producing test metrics, and managing day‑to‑day testing and defect tracking activities.

Responsibilities:
- Process HIPAA ANSI X12 standards and EDI transactions (834, 820, 270, 271, 837, 999) with knowledge of Managed Care and Member systems.
- Work with public cloud environments such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
- Utilize DevOps tools including Jenkins, GitLab, and related technologies.
- Perform testing for interfaces communicating with cloud‑based services.
- Apply technical skills in Oracle SQL Developer, C, C , Java, Groovy, UNIX scripting, and MS Office Suite.
- Develop and execute Selenium automation using core Java.
- Leverage prior healthcare experience, including web services, microservices, and interface testing.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively while delivering comprehensive quality assurance services.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess test results, make confident decisions, and drive recommendations.
- Participate in defect triage meetings and stand‑ups with business teams, providing detailed defect analysis and root‑cause insights.
- Apply broad knowledge of testing methodologies and software acceptance criteria.
- Join weekly defect remediation calls and contribute to resolving long‑standing and warranty defects.
- Participate in Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions and scope discussions with cross‑functional groups.
- Create and deliver test plans, test cases, and reusable test scripts based on functional requirements and use cases.
- Execute requirements verification testing, functional testing, security testing, regression testing, positive/negative testing, and post‑production validation.
- Handle data setup, load testing, and automation test preparation/reporting.
- Analyze test outcomes, provide recommendations, and follow escalation processes to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Collaborate with the SQA Manager and project teams to ensure timely completion of testing milestones.
- Address testing issues and concerns and help ensure readiness for deployments.
- Conduct gap analysis and guide testers in creating new test scenarios to enhance test coverage.
- Review patch releases, identify appropriate regression suites, and assign them to testers.
- Develop automation scripts and provide ongoing technical support for automation efforts.
- Create and distribute Test Summary Reports following each test cycle.
