The Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications through systematic testing, documentation, and collaboration with cross‐functional teams. This role plays a key part in identifying defects, improving processes, and supporting successful product releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Validate software functionality against business and technical requirements.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand‐ups, and retrospectives.
- Conduct root‐cause analysis and recommend process improvements.
- Ensure testing activities comply with QA standards and best practices.
- Prepare test summary reports and communicate results to stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
- Experience with manual testing; exposure to automation tools is a plus.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test documentation.
- Familiarity with SQL for data validation.
- Knowledge of web, mobile, or API testing.
- Excellent analytical and problem‐solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with automation frameworks (Selenium, TestNG, Cypress, etc.).
- Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, or GitHub Actions.
- Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
