Position Title: Hardware Technician (Engineering Technician-1)
Job Description : This position will be responsible for maintaining hardware and applying software patches and changing hardware settings under direction from field applications and development engineers in other regions. Hardware debug focus.
Day to Day Responsibilities : Monitor and maintain hardware, communicate overnight changes and requests, troubleshoot board level issues
Required Technical Skills:
- 2-3 years experience with printed circuit board assemblies of moderate complexity
- Basic ability to read/understand an electrical schematic to troubleshoot hardware failures
- IPC610A/JSTD-001 soldering skills preferred
- Has several skills: self-motivation, initiative, resourcefulness, confidence and dependability.
- Good organization, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Willing to work off shift
- Soft Skills: Written communication, patience with language barriers
- Hard Skills: Entry level Linux OS (Ubuntu, Solaris, Linux Mint, Redhat) knowledge would be a bonus
- Education: Associates in Electronics or equivalent experience preferred.
