Yalgo Engineering is seeking an entry level Survey Field Technician / Rod Person to join our team.
Survey Field Technician / Rod Person
Job Responsibilities
- Support the Crew Chief by helping to set up and operate survey equipment, including GNSS receivers, data radios/modems, and levels
- Carry stakes and supplies for construction staking
- Read and interpret various types of maps and plans with guidance from the Crew Chief
- Load and unload trucks, clean and maintain land survey equipment and supplies
- Professional interaction with construction supervisors
- Follow company safety procedures, policies, and practices
Job Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent required
- Valid, current driver’s license required
- No prior surveying experience is required – just a willingness to learn, work outdoors, and develop technical skills in a hands-on setting
- Interest in land surveying, construction, or civil engineering
- Able to work outdoors year-round in all types of weather conditions and environments and carry up to 40lbs
- Available to travel/stay out of town for work as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
