Apex Roofing (formerly known as Atlas Apex Roofing) is seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Project Manager to lead field teams and oversee all aspects of commercial roofing projects in the Central Florida (Orlando Region) market. This role is responsible for safety, quality, scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and material management to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong communication skills, a commitment to safety, and a proven track record managing crews in a fast-paced commercial construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day commercial roofing operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget

• Oversee field personnel, foremen, and subcontractors, including scheduling, production goals, and performance management

• Conduct pre-construction site visits to assess conditions, verify scope, and ensure all preparations meet company standards before work begins

• Review estimates, construction drawings, and contract documents for accuracy, constructability, and planning

• Coordinate project schedules, inspections, testing, and crane/delivery logistics

• Manage materials and equipment by ordering, tracking, securing long-lead items, and ensuring all jobs are properly stocked to maintain uninterrupted workflow

• Identify, price, and professionally communicate all change orders, supplements, and scope modifications to clients and stakeholders

• Monitor job progress, quality control, safety compliance, and productivity across all active projects

• Maintain accurate project documentation including daily field reports, timesheets, and regular status updates

• Manage project closeout process including punch lists, warranty documentation, and closeout submittals

• Collaborate with clients, property managers, consultants, and other trades to ensure smooth job flow

• Recruit, schedule, and evaluate employees while maintaining strong crew morale

• Enforce company policies, safety programs, and quality standards throughout all phases of construction

Required Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of commercial roofing construction management experience

• Demonstrated experience managing field employees and subcontractors

Skills & Requirements

• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check

• Comfortable climbing ladders up to 60 ft tall

• Ability to lift 75 lbs or more

• Working knowledge of commercial roofing systems including single-ply (TPO/EPDM), modified bitumen, built-up, and metal roofing

• Ability to read and interpret roofing plans, specifications, and contract documents

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word

• Excellent communication, presentation, and follow-up skills

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams

• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced construction environment

• High degree of self-motivation and a strong work ethic

• Full-time, on-site position
