Job description:
Apex Pediatric Therapy Services provides ABA, speech and occupational therapy services to children and adolescents. We are currently looking for a positive, creative and energetic authorizations coordinator, biller and scheduler / receptionist.
Schedule Needed:
Monday - 8:00am to 2:00pm
Tuesday - 8:00am to 2:00pm
Wednesday - 8:00am to 2:00pm
Thursday - 8:00am to 2:00pm
Friday - 8:00am to 1:00pm
Responsibilities
Authorizations Coordination
- Maintain up to date log of authorization expiration dates for each client
- Coordinate the process for obtaining reauthorization
- Arrange and submit all documentation in relationship with authorization and reauthorizations
Billing
- Bill Claims to the insurance companies
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in billing
- Claims Follow up
Scheduling
- Front desk receptionist activities
- Manage therapists’ schedules as per the need of the clients
- Keep all schedules up to date on the scheduling system
- Arrange coverage for therapists’ cancellations
- Address clients’ request for schedule changes as and when needed
- Get new therapists onboarded, scheduled for training and assigned clients.
- Keep the facilities organized and clean at all times
- Other administrative duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 1-2 years of billing and/or prior authorizations experience
- Must know Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organization, planning and time-management skills
- Skilled in prioritizing multiple tasks
- Excellent interpersonal skills
