Duties
- Assist with cutting, shaping, and assembling metal sheets and components using hand tools and power tools such as drills, saws, and grinders
- Support the installation of metal fixtures, trim carpentry elements, cabinets, doors, and other structural components on construction sites
- Help with measuring and reading blueprints or schematics to ensure precise fabrication and installation
- Prepare materials by performing tasks like caulking, framing, or metal stud framing to facilitate smooth assembly processes
- Carry out heavy lifting duties safely to move materials or equipment around job sites
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials efficiently
- Support the fabrication process by assisting with cutting, welding preparation, or assembly tasks as directed by senior team members
Experience
- Prior experience in construction estimating or working on construction sites is highly desirable
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic fabrication techniques
- Hands-on experience in carpentry—including trim carpentry, frame carpentry, or metal stud framing—will be beneficial
- Previous handyman experience or involvement in construction painting adds value to your application
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during assembly or installation tasks
