We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commercial/Residential Tinner to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain metal roofing, siding, gutters, and flashing on commercial and residential structures
- Measure and cut materials accurately to fit specific project requirements
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and effectively
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met and troubleshoot any issues that arise during installation or repair
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA regulations
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to coordinate work schedules and project timelines
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris appropriately
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Tinner or in a similar roofing or metal fabrication role, with a strong understanding of commercial and residential applications
- Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and industry best practices
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, Hoyer lifts (if applicable), and other relevant equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for site travel as needed
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials, work at heights safely, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
Preferred qualifications include experience working with EMR systems for documentation purposes, familiarity with working in home & community care environments or care facilities such as retirement homes or assisted living centers. Certifications in first aid or safety training are advantageous. Knowledge of working with individuals with disabilities or dementia care is a plus for projects involving sensitive environments.
