Position summary
Apex Maintenance Group is seeking experienced drywall repair and finishing contractors for residential, rental-property, and property-management assignments.
This role is specifically for drywall work. Painting may occasionally be offered as a separate assignment, but applicants are not required to provide painting services.
Qualified contractors may receive assignments involving small repairs, larger patches, drywall replacement, finishing, sanding, texture matching, and unit-turn repairs.
Contractors may accept or decline each available assignment.

- Water-damaged drywall replacement after the source is corrected

Responsibilities
- Review the complete work-order scope before acceptance
- Confirm availability through the Apex contractor system
- Arrive during the approved appointment window
- Protect floors, furniture, and surrounding surfaces
- Complete only the approved drywall scope
- Upload required photographs and progress updates
- Document hidden damage or additional work before proceeding
- Obtain Apex approval before expanding the scope
- Maintain a clean and professional work area
- Remove assigned debris and materials
- Complete the task checklist before marking work complete
- Correct workmanship deficiencies for which you are responsible

Required qualifications
- Professional drywall repair and finishing experience
- Ability to independently complete repairs from preparation through final sanding
- Ability to match common wall and ceiling textures
- Own vehicle, tools, ladders, and standard equipment

- Ability to upload clear before, progress, and after photographs
- Strong communication and punctuality
- Ability to work in occupied and vacant properties
- General liability insurance or willingness to obtain coverage before activation
- W-9 and appropriate business information
- Willingness to complete a paid test assignment
- References or recent project photographs
- Applicable Michigan licensing or registration where required for the work performed
Preferred qualifications
- Property-management or rental-turn experience
- Experience repairing water-damaged drywall
- Experience with ceiling repairs
- Strong texture-matching ability
- Ability to estimate material quantities accurately
- Familiarity with Home Depot material sourcing

Operating standards
Apex contractors must:

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
