This is a hybrid role (3 in-office days) that operates with a high degree of independence, providing guidance on complex accounting matters and helping implement change throughout the company. Applying U.S. GAAP to technical accounting issues, specific duties include:
- Cross-departmental streamlining of workflows, enhancing overall operations
- Evaluate gaps and collaborate with leaders to streamline or automate processes.
- Support strategic finance initiatives: policy development, process optimization, and system enhancements.
- Assist with integration activities related to acquisitions, including systems, processes, and financial alignment.
- Apply U.S. GAAP to technical accounting issues (i.e. complex estimates & transactions)
- Support annual financial statement audits and serve as a liaison with external auditors.
- Contribute to accurate and timely financial reporting activities.
- Work with business leaders to understand processes, evaluate risk, and recommend control enhancements.
- Design, implement, and maintain internal controls over financial reporting.
Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required and CPA or CMA required
- 2 years of experience navigating complex financial systems and drive solutions
- 2 years with a Big 4 or large public firm
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- 2 years with SEC reporting, including preparation or review of Forms 10-K and 10-Q
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems
- 2 years applying strategic analysis and research to identify issues and propose recommendations
Salary : $77,000 - $97,000
