What are the responsibilities and job description for the #26-27-05 Locker Room Attendant position at Antelope Valley Union High School District?
DEFINITION: Under general supervision from the Principal or designee and other certificated personnel in the Physical Education Department performs duties related to the supervision of pupils in the area of the locker room and surrounding facilities and adjacent grounds. Responsible for all aspects of and duties associated with the classification of Custodian II when not directly involved in supervision of pupils.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Experience working with youth in a paid or voluntary basis is preferred. One year of experience in manual work, preferably custodial, is desired. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of: School rules and regulations is desirable, background in laws pertaining to juveniles is helpful; knowledge of controlled substances and their effect upon behavior is helpful; customs and activities indicative of youth groups is helpful. Modern cleaning methods and preferred methods for cleaning floors, walls and fixtures as well as knowledge of cleaning materials, disinfectants and equipment used in custodial work. Ability to: Understand and work effectively with teenagers and be able to relate to the problems and concerns of pupils with diplomacy and tact.
