Requirements / Qualifications
In addition to the materials listed below, you will be required to produce a valid CA Driver's License and pass both a fingerprint and drug test clearance upon receiving a job offer.
Original copies of certain documents will be require to be produced at the time of interviews. Any incomplete applications will not be considered for further screening. CORE REQUIREMENTS: All applicants must possess these foundational skills: • Load-In & Strike: Efficiently load/unload trucks and assemble scenic elements using a variety of hand and power tools. • Scenic Carpentry: Basic ability to read ground plans and shop drawings to assist in the assembly of flats, platforms, stair units, and guardrails, including the use of all associated tools and machines. • Cable Management: Mastery of cable coiling and properly dressing clean cable runs to prevent trip hazards. Backstage Etiquette: Experience working in "dark" and "quiet" environments; ability to execute cues with precision under headset communication. • Safety Standards: Full knowledge of OSHA theater safety, including proper lifting techniques, PPE usage, and fall protection. • Projections & Media: Proficiently operate playback software (e.g., QLab) to execute complex visual cues in precise synchronization with live action.
